2005-08-25: Currency Server 4.5.1.0 released. Includes new XML parser functionality, support for new data sources, and updated filters for Federal Reserve Bank of New York and National Bank of Denmark.

2005-07-07: Updated National Bank of Denmark filter made available via Software Director.

2005-01-19: Currency Server 4.5.0.0 released, with changes reflecting the new Currency System family of software and services. Access to the Currency World Monitor service is now exposed in the All Currencies tab of Currency Server Manager. New features include new and enhanced automatic information and support notifications and the ability to store a copy of data which caused errors or warnings to aid in support and error analysis.

2005-01-05: Updated legacy mapping data made available via Software Director. This update is required to support the Turkish new lira (TRY) in data provided by sources such as the Bank of Canada.

2002-12-04: The European Central Bank moved the default data accessed by the European Central Bank HTML filter from http://www.ecb.int/home/eurofxref.htm  to http://www.ecb.int/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-xml.html. If you were using the European Central Bank filter with the old HTML (not XML) address you will need to update the address (just enter the new address in the Address field). No action is required if Currency Server was set to fetch the rates from Cloanto (which is the default setting), or if any Data Source other than the European Central Bank in HTML mode is used.

2002-09-22: Version 3.7.1.0 released. This is a private build, available upon request, which includes new internationalization features.

2002-05-22: Version 3.6.5.0 released. Updated Bank of Canada filter. Introduced new evaluation option (7 days without evaluation license serial, can be extended to 30 days or longer).

2002-05-04: Version 3.6.4.0 released. Includes minor fixes to installer, improved Windows XP graphics and updated Xenon Laboratories filter.

2002-03-12: Fixed possible memory leak (about 2 KB) related to Update Now functionality.

2002-03-01: Preset EMU status information updated to reflect currencies which ceased to be legal tender at 00:00 today. During installation of the web service it is now possible to change the virtual directory name and the port number. Better support for multiple web services in the same virtual directory (renamed ".asmx" file and discontinued use of "global.asax"). New option to disable access of AdminMessage() and AdminUpdateNow() functions from the public interface. Fixed possible error conditions 1314 and 1606 during installation.

2002-01-31: Currency Server 3.5 released. Features include: fully managed .NET server code, improved support for past and future euro currencies, new data formats, active support for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, revised documentation, new licenses. Please refer to the SOAP chapter in the documentation for instructions concerning compatibility with previous versions of the SOAP interface.

2001-12-22: Public .NET beta version made available for download.

2001-09-05: Host name for exchange rate data provided by Cloanto changed from web server to rates-cs.cloanto.com in consideration of increasing load related to currency data.

2001-06-30: Currency Server 3.1 released, featuring a WSDL 1.1-compatible SOAP server interface, new documentation and other new features. Updated code samples.

2001-05-17: Currency Server 3.0 released. Began testing of SOAP interface on select client sites.

2001-04-25: Currency Server 3.0, beta 5 released, which now employs Windows Installer technology for setup, while retaining the ability to upgrade previous versions without losing configuration data.

2001-03-10: Currency Server 3.0, beta 4 released. Drop-down menus now make it very easy to select a new Filter and/or Data Source.

2001-02-28: Currency Server 3.0, beta 3 released. Fluctuation warning and error messages do now provide more guidance towards a resolution of potential issues such as the 40% fluctuation of the Turkish lira which was experienced last week. Functionality to update the list of euro currencies as the EMU evolves (adding currencies, replacing currencies with the euro, etc.) is now active.

2001-02-22: Following a decision by the Turkish government to float its currency, the Turkish lira (TRL) is experiencing daily fluctuations beyond the 15% to 20% default warning limit preset in the software. Any related warning messages you may receive depending on your software settings are most likely to be the result of the current volatility of this currency.

2001-01-26: First public beta of Currency Server 3.0 released. Supports new providers and external data conversion filters. Base unit used to list currencies in Control Panel can now be changed.

2000-12-23: Currency Server2.3 released. Added Greek drachma as a built-in EMU currency, with constant exchange rate as specified by the European Central Bank, effective January 1st, 2001.

2000-10-05: csdemo1.cpp sample code updated to avoid a potential name conflict. All Currency Server objects are now referenced relative to the CloantoCurrencyServer namespace.

2000-05-30: Currency Server version 2.2 released. Includes support for additional data protocols and advanced registry options.

1999-08-07: New web site. First log entry.
