A: The first release of the Amiga Forever 2005 launcher
was unable to properly process an environment variable which is
set differently on certain Windows 98 and Windows Me systems.
Because of this, the installation was not found, and the
launcher started in demo mode.
A solution to this issue is included in the WinUAE 1.1.1
update, which can be installed via Software Director:
- Close all Amiga Forever windows
- Select Software Director (or Software Manager) from the
Cloanto/Amiga Forever folder in the Start menu
- Click Check Now to check for updates
- Expand Amiga Forever, and right-click on the entry for
WinUAE 1.1.1
- Select Install
Other versions of Windows are not affected by this issue.
